 KFL-CD Series Electromagnetic Vortex Flowmeter is the new generation of flowmeter using electromagnetic digital signal as inspection measure. The flowmeter is aseismatic, high sensitive and low cost. It can be widely used in oil, chemical, metallurgy,brewage,printing, dyeing and medical industry as well as environmental protection in food manufacturing and city drain system to measure flow statistic.

 Operating Principle
The flowmeter is designed based on the electromagnetic induction theory and Karman vortex
theory. When a column object placed in flowing fluids in pipe, a series of vortices will be generated alternately on each side of the object as show as below, this eddies be known as Karman Vortices Street, the frequency of the vortex shedding is related to the velocity of the fluid and the width of the object . Expressed by formula as below:

Where  f----frequency of Karman Vortex shedding
           St----Strouhal number
           v----velocity
           d----width of column object

Because the frequency of the vortex shedding is proportional to the velocity, it can be
used to calculate the transient flow rate .Strouhal number is very important coefficient in the Vortex Flowmeter. when nearly the St≈0.17 in the range of plane and straight line in curve, frequency of vortex shedding is proportional to the velocity, so as long as the frequency (f) be check out, the velocity (v) will be obtained, and volumetric flowrate will be got according to v.
